Hi. Unfortunately, our Newcastle is office has been closed, to purchase a Thera-band you can order through the diabetesshop website or by calling 1300 776 388.

What is the delivery time for Therabands? Are all colours/grades in stock? Thanks, John Norman

Hi John. All colours are currently available. All orders will arrive within 5 business days.

What colour band is in the single pack costing $8.50? Also I work with the aged (over 65 years old) and we hold weekly gentle exercise classes. What would be your best price if we were to purchase 40 - 50 of these Thera-Bands?

The single Thera-Band is available in the following colours and resistance strengths; -Yellow, Thin -Red, Medium -Green, Heavy -Blue, Extra Heavy -Black, Special Extra Heavy All prices are as listed on the on-line store, however discounts are available for Diabetes NSW members. Please click on the below link for information on membership.

Enquiry re the $8.50 pack How many bands in one pack? Are they all the same colour(resistance level)in one pack?

The $8.50 Theraband packs contain a single band. EX013 Theraband contains a pack of 3 yellow, red, green Therabands including an Exercise Booklet for $28.00

I was wondering what theraBand is used for?

Therabands are used for resistance or strength training. The elastic creates resistance to movement making the muscles work harder just like lifting weights or dumbbells. You can use therabands to exercise every muscle in the body, all you need to do is find a way to anchor a part of the band to stretch it and work the muscle. Eg standing with on foot on the middle of the band and the ends in your hand gives you the ability to bend at the elbows and curl your arms performing a bicep curl. Keeping your arms relatively straight and lifting them out to the side aeroplane style will work the muscles on tops of your shoulders. Therabands are extremely versatile, 1 band can do away with the need for 5 or more sets of dumbbells. Sthreching the band by itself may be easy, but if you double it over, the exercise or resistance becomes twice as hard. There are different strengths of therabands too denoted by the colour. TheraBand itself is just one brand of band, they will all do the same thing although the colour coding will be different with different bands. the packaging or the place you purchased them from should be able to let you know what colour is what strength. The internet is a great resource for Theraband exercises but so are we at the Australian diabetes council with our exercise DVD “The Daily Dose” and our Theraband exercise booklet. Remember if you have any injuries or health concerns its always important to talk with your doctor or an exercise physiologist before starting any new exercise program
