Review : These are good for kids in class. The smaller carbs/tablet are good and because of the tablet shape, they can tell their friends they're having "medicine" to correct a hypo. And they're less likely to be taken by friends than jelly beans.

Review : I purchased these tablets thinking each tablet would be 15g carb each - like the ones I used to purchase. But unfortunately, I would need to eat FOUR of these tablets to equal 16g carb which is only one portion for me. Since I usually need two portions per hypo treatment (from experience), I am dismayed that I would only have two treatments available for $5.45. A bag of jelly beans wins hands down for value.

Are these small enough to be swallowed whole for an adult?

Hi Pam, If you contact our health professionals on they will be able to assist. Kind Regards

When is someone going to realise that not only children need hypo treatments. That people who do not want to eat coloured and flavoured treatments require 5g unflavoured (possibly citrus is OK) blister packed tablets so they have a degree of waterproofedness for carrying in the great outdoors, on your kayak or whatever, and are of sufficient number if grams that you dont need a handfull to treat a hypo. Bring back the BD 5g tabs!

Hi Bron. You raise a number of important points, we are always on the look out for more hypo treatments that will help people with diabetes reduce the 'hassle' that comes with living with diabetes. Currently the TRUEplus tablets are the only Hypo Tablets we have been able to obtain that conform to both Australian Food Labeling laws and Diabetes Australia Dietary Guidelines. If you are after an easy to carry and waterproof alternative to Hypo Tablets, the TRUEplus Hypo Gel is a great option, however it is fruit flavoured and has a very 'sweet' taste.
